ELPA 21 (English Language Proficiency Assessment for the 21st Century)

Field Test:

West Virginia is a member of the English Language Proficiency Assessment for the 21st Century, ELPA21, a group of states committed to supporting educators, member states, and the public as they adopt and implement the new English Language Proficiency (ELP) Standards and college- and career-ready standards. ELPA21 will hold its registration for the Field Test and the Platform and System Trial Oct. 6 – 17, 2014.

Our state’s participation in the computer-based Field Test and the Platform and System Trial will lead to a better operational assessment system for School Year 2015-16. The Field Test and Trial will provide administrators, educators, and students with the opportunity to test ELPA21 items, testing devices, and administration manuals.
